This blog post aims to increase your understanding of specific common ingredients found in select skincare products. That way, you can better select your self-care and save money.
Clay
There are various types and forms of clay/clay masks. The primary purpose of this ingredient is to draw impurities out of the skin, leaving it fresh and purifying pores. As well as increasing oil absorption from your skin and can help aid/prevent mild forms of acne such as pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads—these types of acne form when your pores are clogged with excessive dirt and oil.
Kelp
This natural ingredient is very mineral and antioxidant-rich and is known to help soften and hydrate dry skin. Not only that, but it also helps your skin retain moisture, keeping it hydrated for longer. It is known to reduce the appearance of breakouts. Sea Kelp contains minerals that penetrate the skin and remove toxins.
& Moor
This ingredient is a form of organic 'peloid' created by the gradual transformation of plant matter permanently held underwater or underground. Free from the decaying effects of oxygen and in the correct climatic and biological conditions, the plant matter, made up of more than 1,000 herbs, plants, grasses and flowers, undergoes a transformation process over many thousands of years into a homogeneous black substance. This transformation or ripening process of the plants' organic and inorganic components absorb into the substance. This ingredient benefits the skin by helping regenerate elastin and collagen for smooth skin to the touch and tighter. It also contains amino acids, which help moisturize and rehydrate the skin.
